Emmanuel began his career in the financial industry in 2005. He manages proprietary quantitative macro-finance models that seek to mitigate portfolio risk and human biases in the investment process. Prior to joining UCAP, Emmanuel was Head of Discretionary Investments for $1.2 billion of institutional and private client assets at Merrill Lynch’s Private Banking & Investment Group. Before Merrill, Emmanuel worked for five years at Compass Group, where he was a portfolio manager for global multi-asset class strategies for the firm’s Latin America offices. Previously, he also worked at Columbia University's Center for Financial Engineering and he started his career at UBS Financial Services. Emmanuel holds an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an MA in Quantitative Methods & Economics from Columbia University. Emmanuel received his BS in Industrial Engineering & Economics from the University of Miami.
